Marilynn Fern Petty, age 70 of Humble, Texas passed away on September 2, 2013 at her home in Humble. She was born on May 20, 1943 in Houston, Texas to parents, Elmer Floyd Crane and Kathryn A. Hiatt.

Marilynn is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Petty; father, Elmer Crane; step-father, A.J. McDonald; sister-in-law and best friend, Jean Weymer; great-great-niece, Jena Dawson; niece, Bobbie Jo Bennett; and nephew, Ricky Crane. She is survived by her mother, Kathryn McDonald of New Caney, Texas; daughter and sons-in-law, Helen Thomas and Robert of Spring, Texas and Laura Dethloff and Scott of Trinity, Texas; sister, Elna Haycraft of Madisonville, Texas; brother, Joe Crane; brother, E.F. Crane of Bryan, Texas; sister, Brenda Lanier and husband Steve of Georgia; sister, Linda Morrison and husband Ronnie of New Caney, Texas; grandchildren, Lorrie Carrico and husband Jamie, Tyler Dethloff, Stormy Dethloff, Andrew Dethloff, Hunter Dethloff, Alisha Dethloff, Ace Thomas, and Missy Thomas; in-laws, Joyce Evans of Hockley, Texas, Roland and Helen Sims of San Antonio, Texas, and Richard Weymer of Corpus Christi, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Services for Marilynn Fern Petty will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 6, 2013, at Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas. Pastor Harold Francis will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas.

Visitation will begin at noon on Friday, up until service time.
