Marion ""Scotty"" Murrell age 83 of Livingston passed away Saturday January 23, 2010 at his home. Memorial services will be Saturday January 30, 2010 at 12:00Noon in the Jones Prairie Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Prairie Cemetery. Military Honors will be given by VFW Post #8568 Honor Guard.

Marion was born April 19, 1926 in Vally View, Texas to parents Joseph Bailey Murrell and Virginia Ellen Spann Murrell. He proudly served our country for 20 years in the United States Air Force. He also was a merchant marine for 30 years. Marion was a member of the Jones Prairie Baptist Church and VFW.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Olin W., Joseph B., Sydney L., Roger S., Forest V., and Billy J. Murrell. He is survived by his daughter Donna Murrell of Huntsville, and special friends Helen Oliphant and Maire Walker,and also a host of nieces and nephews.
