February 28, 1943 — April 24, 2026

Marion Hudd Veinotte, a loving wife, mother and grandmother and kind friend peacefully left this world to join her Lord Jesus Christ April 24, 2026, at the age of 83. Marion was born on February 28, 1943 in Yonkers New York to Harry Walter and Marion Gladys (Lee) Hudd.

While growing up in Yonkers, New York she graduated from Charles E. Gorton High School where she met the love of her life and future husband David Clinton Veinotte. After graduation she went to work for AT&T Long Lines in White Plains N.Y. and Trenton N.J. She married David in June 1962 and upon his graduation from Rider University in Trenton N.J. the following year they moved back to Yonkers.

They began raising their children in Yonkers and as a result of a job relocation they moved to the Baltimore M.D. suburbs. Marion was very active in the Jarrettsville school system and could always be found helping other children in addition to hers. She specialized in helping children to read and received numerous commendations from the school system for her efforts. Many children are better readers today as a result of her caring personalized attention to them.

In 1976 as a result of another job relocation for David, Marion and her family now consisting of three young children moved to Kingwood, Texas. Marion immediately became involved in the Kingwood school system and helped many children improve their reading skills. She began playing competitive tennis while in Maryland and continued so by joining the Kingwood Country Club. For many years she played competitive tennis as a member the Houston Ladies Tennis Association (HLTA) and received numerous awards. Marion was a member of the Share Care Bible Study group that has met every week for over 30 years.

They built a lake house on Lake Livingston in 1986 and had many enjoyable weekends and vacations enjoying the lakes amenities. Upon David's retirement from Exxon Mobil in 1997 they moved to Livingston full time. Marion immediately joined the Polk County Garden Club and participated in all their events, including the annual flower show where she won numerous awards for her flower arrangements.

Marion is survived by her loving husband; sons, David Veinotte of Willis, Texas, Matthew and Stasie Shirey Veinotte of Humble, Texas; daughter, Nancy and Charles Cross of Seabrook, Texas; grandsons, Conner Veinotte and Chase Cross; granddaughter, Blayne Cross; and niece Cindy Hudd DiPilo.
