A Celebration of Life for Mark Alan Nelson, 69, of Shepherd, Texas will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., at the family's home located at 100 Pine St., Shepherd, Texas 77371.

Mark was born December 16, 1954 in Baytown, Texas and passed away September 4, 2024 in Cleveland, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Nelson; parents, Tommy and Muriel Louise (Walker) Nelson; and brothers, Steve Nelson and Scott Nelson.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Katey Nelson of Shepherd, Texas; grandchildren, Tyler and Addie of Goodrich, Texas, Clayton and Nicole of Shepherd, Texas, Luke and Kortlyn of Goodrich, Texas, and McKaden and Swayzie of Shepherd, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Todd Darwin of League City, Texas; sisters-in-law, DaWanda Nelson of Goodrich, Texas and Priss Nelson of Dripping Springs, Texas; and great grandchildren, Camden and Rook; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, many other relatives and friends.
