Marlene Kay Martin, 81, of Livingston, Texas, was born April 1, 1942 in Olathe, Kansas and passed away August 2, 2023 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerome Edward Orender I and Betty A. (Dierking) Orender; husband, William Walter Martin; and brother, Jerry Lee Orender.

Marlene moved to Texas November 16, 1962 where she met and married W.W. Martin. She was the best mother. She loved and cared deeply about her children. She did a lot of work outside of the home, serving as a Harris county Deputy for a bit and working as a cashier at Walmart in the 70's.

She is survived by her sons, Michael J. Martin and wife Shannon of Kentucky, and Wesley D. Martin and wife Lisa of Pattison, Texas; daughter, Krystal M. Christopher and husband Wayne of Livingston, Texas; grandson, J.D. Martin of Kentucky; granddaughter, Jessica Martin of Kentucky, and Julissa Tedeschi and Kiara F. Tedeschi both of Corpus Christi, Texas; as well as numerous other loved ones and friends.
