Obituary
Funeral services for Martha Janell Johnson, 84, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Steve Waldrep officiating. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas.
Mrs. Johnson was born September 24, 1931 in Colfax, Louisiana to parents, Harvey Hicks and Susan (Corbett) Hicks, and passed away February 26, 2016 in Onalaska, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wesley Hicks, Junior Hicks, Robert "Bob" Hicks and Earl Hicks; sisters, Onita Hicks, Eola Hicks, Katherine Hicks, and Nelda Hicks; and grandchildren, Chase Johnson and Joey Badillo.
She is survived by her husband, Menden Clinton Johnson of Onalaska, Texas; son, Glynn Johnson and wife, Pam of Onalaska, Texas; daughter, Linda Hughes and husband, Robert of Onalaska, Texas; son, Ronnie Johnson and Pam Dowell of Onalaska, Texas; daughters, Teresa Jordan, Debbie Johnson, Betty Davis and Tammy Jerkins, and Martha Faye Johnson all of Onalaska, Texas; son, Mark Johnson of Onalaska, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Mary Nugent of Farmington, New Mexico; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
