Funeral services for Marvin Eugene Spurlock, 84, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Brad Butler officiating. Military Honors will be provided by United States Army from Fort Polk, Louisiana. Interment will follow in the Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, February 18, 2022, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., before the service begins.

Marvin passed away February 11, 2022 in Houston, Texas surrounded by his loved ones. Marvin was the most amazing and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved his family dearly and cherished the time he was given with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Marvin had the most giving and caring heart, often putting others before himself. In his spare time, he loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing, and most of all he loved to share those experiences with his loved ones. He was the definition of a true patriot who loved his country and served 20 years in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister.

He is survived by wife, Pauline Spurlock; daughter, Alice Jager; son, Michael Spurlock; daughter, Patricia Sanders and husband Nunny; grandchildren, Crystal Reiner, Julie Fry, Nicole Sanders, Gabrielle Sanders, and Joshua Sanders; great grandchildren, Jes Soria, Jeric Soria, and Kaitlyn Fry; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
