Graveside services for Marvin Douglas Thayer, 70, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Hortense, Texas with Bro Lesly Wilkinson officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Thayer was born September 15, 1944 in Houston, Texas to parents, Douglas Roy Thayer and Margaret (Lewis) Thayer, and passed away May 7, 2015 in Hortense, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Marvin Thayer Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Thayer of Livingston, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Ginger and Jimmy Foxworth of Henderson, Texas, Jeannie and Travis Handley of Camden, Texas, Martie and Forest Smith of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Cody Foxworth and Trent Foxworth both of Henderson, Texas, Tanner Handley and wife Dakota of Barnum, Texas, Holli Handley of Camden, Texas, Cade Parrish, Trinity Smith, Lillie Smith, Lance Smith, Hailey Smith all of Livingston, Texas, great grandsons, Ryder and Jarrett Handley of Barnum, Texas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Alan Light of Hortense, Texas, Edwina and Millard Tucker of Bowie, Texas, Laura Mae and Gary Nelson of Chester, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
