Mary Edith Broussard 88 of Livingston passed away Tuesday July 1, 2008. Funeral services were held Saturday July 5, 2008 at 12:00 Noon in the Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Owens officiating. Burial was at 3:00PM in the Brookside Cemetery in Houston. Visitation was held Friday July 4, 2008 from 3:00PM until 7:00PM also in the Cochran Funeral Home.

Edith was born September 24, 1919 in Madisonville, Texas to parents Ethel and Lillian May Singletary.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband C.O. ""Bruce"" Broussard, and her brother Jimmy Lee Singletary.

Edith is survived by her daughters Bobbie Jean Wingate and her husband Jake of Iola, Tx., Jeri Stanfield and her husband Earl of Cleveland, Tx, granddaughter Stacie Wright and husband Robert, of Virginia, grandsons Vance Stanfield of Cleveland, Tx., Scott Wingate of Iola, Tx, Brandon Stanfield of Cleveland, Tx, great grandson Joshua Wright of Virginia, and great granddaughter Brynna Wright of Virginia.She is also survived by her brother and sister in law Herman and Nancy Singletary of Illinois, sister Margret Rowell of Houston Tx, and her special friend Edna Walker of Livingston, along with numerous friends.

Serving as pallbearers will Vance Stanfield, Brandon Stanfield, Scott Wingate, Bobby Hasty, Jerry Halford, and David Riggs.
