Mary Lou Clifton, 80, of Livingston, TX passed away on November 2nd, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of faith and love that will live on in the hearts of everyone that knew her.

Mary Lou was born on June 17, 1945 to Homer Hubert Fears and Vera May Morris Fears. She was the eldest sister to six siblings whom she loved deeply.

She married the love of her life, Joe Delane Clifton, on October 19th, 1963. Through faith and hard work, they built a beautiful life together and raised two sons, Joe Delane Clifton Jr. and Carl Allison "Bubba" Clifton.

Mary Lou devoted her life to caring for her family. She especially found joy in her role as grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored. She was known for opening her arms and home to any family, friends, or animals in need.

She will be remembered for her faith in Jesus Christ as well as her natural gift for nurturing and creating which was displayed through her gardening and crafts.

Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, Homer Hubert and Vera May Fears; husband, Joe Clifton; and brothers, Carl Gene Fears, Jimmy Fears, Homer Fears, and Danny Fears. She is survived by her two sons, Joe Clifton Jr. and Bubba Clifton; Granddaughter, Bailea Watts and husband Ryan; Grandson, Hunter Clifton and wife Lauren; Great-Grandson, Elex Clifton; Great-Granddaughter Lilah Watts; Sisters, Patricia Adams and Joan Atchley and husband Babe Ray; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Cochrans Funeral Home in Livingston, TX on Tuesday, November 4th from 5-7 PM. Graveside service will be held at Peebles Cemetery in Goodrich, TX on Wednesday, November 5th at 10 AM.
