Funeral services for Mary Jane Cockrell, 83, of Livingston, Texas will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Sonny Hathaway and Rev. Lawrence Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Visitation will take place on the day of service, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at the funeral home.

Mary Jane was born November 14, 1941 in Giddings, Texas and passed away February 14, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton Brooks Peebles and Nellie Josephine Henry; and husband, Alec "Buz" Cockrell.

She is survived by her sons, Ben Cockrell and wife Pricilla and Chance Cockrell and wife Ali; grandchildren, Laci Booth, Luke Cockrell, Karson Cockrell, Lane Cockrell, Preston Monteforte, and Auston Monteforte; great granddaughter, Aubrey Cockrell; brother, Fred Peebles and wife LaDonna; and sister, Martha Lou Peebles; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers: David Ray, James Parker, Doug Richey, Karson Cockrell, Lane Cockrell, and Luke Cockrell.
