Funeral services for Mary Evelyn Sims, 91, of Goodrich, Texas, will be held Friday, June 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Jeremy Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 6, 2019, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Sims was born June 11, 1927 in Aspermont, Texas, to parents, Edward Franks and Myrtle (Woodall) Franks and passed away June 3, 2019 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Thomas Gunn and Oliver Sims; sister, Cleo Thompson; brothers, Edward Franks, Tony Franks, Wesley Franks, and Charles Franks; son-in-law, Frank Labelle; and grandsons, Scott Labelle and Brian Labelle.
She is survived by her daughters, Joan Labelle, Kelly Nelson and husband, William "Bubba", and Mary Ann Hadley and husband, Dennis; sons, Terry Gunn, and Tommy Gunn and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Terry Lloyd Gunn, Tony Gunn, Tracy Shrode and husband, Rafe, Ginger Ainsworth and husband, Ben, Chris Gunn, Justin Bunker and fiancé, Brittany Forbus, Shelby Bunker, Ashley Nelson and fiancé, Shawn Card, and Ryan Nelson; great-grandchildren, Gary Watson II, Callan Shrode, Kaily Shrode, Jaydain Bunker, Kenzy Bunker, Karlee Card, and Branson Bunker; and sister, Dixie Franks Donaldson; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

During the last two years of Ms. Mary's life, she was confined to The Bradford and a few hospitals. Through all of those times, she continued to make friends with the staff no matter her location. Ms. Mary was loved by all the staff that was involved in her care while at The Bradford. A very special thank you to Dr. Woodrome, Dr. Gulbis, and Crissy Kicak, NP for taking such great care of her.
