Obituary
Funeral services for Mary Ellen Griffin were held on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Mitchell Murphy officiating. Interment followed in Bluewater Cemetery.
She was born on April 21, 1938 in Honey Island, the daughter of Otis K. Neely and Charlie Bea Hemby Neely, and died on Oct. 28 at her residence in the Segno community. Mrs. Griffin was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Griffin of Segno; sons, Donald Dash Griffin of Segno and Dustin Griffin and wife Sherry of Segno; daughter, Denise Lee of Dayton; grandsons, Jason Paul Walters and Cory Lane Walters, both of Dayton and Tyler Cortland Griffin and Douglas Andrew Griffin, both of Segno; granddaughters, Delta Dawn Griffin of Liberty and Katt Rose Griffin of Segno; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jason and Nicky Walters; two sisters, Alice and Nicki and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Jesse Frank Lee and grandson, Jesse Frank Lee Jr.
Pallbearers included Douglas Griffin, Tyler Griffin, Jason Griffin and Cory Griffin.
