Funeral services for Mary Beth Jones Bailey, 83, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Hill Cemetery in Segno, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time, in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mary Beth Jones Bailey was born in Polk County on July 7, 1934, the daughter of Harvey "Hob" and Annie Cain Jones. She lived in the Segno area throughout her childhood, graduating from Big Sandy High School and then married Thomas H. Bailey (T.H.) on May 16, 1952. They moved to Houston soon after, where they resided and raised their family. After T.H. retired in 2000 they moved back to Segno, Texas. They celebrated their 65 ^th wedding anniversary in May 2017.

Mary Beth was an "at home mom." She loved reading, collecting books, and her crafts. She and T.H. made and sold crafts for several years. She oil painted for many years and was known for her Texas Bluebonnets whether painted on canvas, wood, metal or glass. During their years in Houston, she was an active member of the Uvalde Baptist Church. She worked in the Church library for many years. Her church membership was moved to Magnolia Hill Baptist Church when they returned to Segno, Texas. Mary Beth loved God and her family, which showed in everything she did.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas H. Bailey (T.H.) and her five children, Beth Mays and husband, JL, Ronnie Bailey and wife, Jeanie, Thomas Bailey and wife, Cynthia, Pamela Day and husband, Jimmy, Traci Mays and husband, Edward; 14 grandchildren; 43.5 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Delores Maze; brother, Harvey Jones; and brother-in-law, LC Bailey; along with numerous nieces and nephews on both sides of the family, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Harvey "Hob" and Annie Cain Jones; siblings, Charles E. Jones and wife, Doris, Muriel Jones Duff and husband, Sam, brother-in-law, J.L. "Rastus" Maze; her in-laws, Bob and Vira Richardson Bailey; stepmother, Katy Williams Bailey; and brothers and sisters-in-law, LV and Velma Bailey, Gladys and Robert Warren, Anice and Earl Walters, Mamie and Mann Collins, Laura and Morris Rhodes, and Sudie Bailey.
