Mary Lou McClain was born on May 9, 1940, in Livingston, Texas, to parents, Acie Carter and Eunice Tidwell Carter. She married Don McClain and they raised three children in Livingston. Mary Lou passed away on October 30, 2012, at Livingston Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, Acie and Eunice Carter. Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Don McClain of Livingston; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy McClain of Kenefick, Texas, and Terri and Randy White of Livingston; son, and daughter-in-law, John and Katharine McClain of Livingston; five grandchildren, Candis Nunez and husband, Bronson, Brooke Micyk and husband, Cheston, Chad McClain, Chase McClain, Chesney McClain, Aubree Nunez, and Bralin Nunez; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Cheryl Carter; Johnny Carter' family; special friends, Edna Gaston and Betty Nettles Paredes.
Funeral services for Mary Lou McClain, age 72 of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 2, 2012, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. Mike Miller will conduct the services. Pallbearers are Mike McClain, Buck McClain, Glen Duff, Freddy Duff, Charles Allen Carter and Ty Paredes. Honorary pallbearers are Roger Alexander and Richard DeFee. Interment will be held at Camp Ruby Cemetery in Polk County, Texas, following the chapel service. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Cochran' Chapel.
Mary Lou was much loved and will be greatly missed by her family and a host of friends in Livingston who enjoyed her friendship and telephone calls.
