Mary Louise Murphy age 78 of Livingston passed away Wednesday September 9, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Friday September 11, 2009 at 2:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Frank Hood officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Prairie Cemetery.

Mary was born May 15, 1931 in Ollie, Texas to parents Emanule Hamilton and Lula Bell Goynes Hamilton. She worked for 25 years as a nurses aid at the Burmont Nursing Home. She loved her children and epically her grandkids, and loved to cook for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jessie James Murphy, brothers Junior Hamilton, Albert Hamilton, Emanuel Hamilton, and Earl Hamilton, sister Luetta McDonald, and great great grandchild Tyler Horn.

She is survived by her daughter Pat Cummings and husband Bill of Livingston, son J.M. Murphy of Leggett, grandchildren Marvin Murphy, Amanda Stacy, Theresa Horn, Robert Herman Jr., Angela Guest, Leslie Kowis, Adam Cummings, great grandchildren Logan Horn, Kaitlyn Herman, Brooklyn Guest, David Guest Jr., John Kowis Jr., Jeston Kowis, and great great grandchild Jesse Murphy.

Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Cummings, John Kowis, Marvin Murphy, Robert Harman Jr., and Gary Brown. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.
