Obit for Mary Ruth Quick
Funeral Services for Mary Ruth Quick, age 87 of Rye, Texas, will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints in Livingston, Texas. The services will be conducted by Rodger Davidson, Laval Curtis and Vick Lawson. Pallbearers are: Larry Hodges, Wayne Hodges, Paul Newton, Billy Newton, Larry Hodges and John Hutchens. Interment will be held at 3:00 PM at San Jacinto Memorial Cemetery in Harris County, Texas, following the church service.
Mrs. Quick was born on January 23, 1925, in Gurdon, Arkansas, to parents, Connie E. McClure and Fannie Chrismon McClure. She passed away at her home in Rye, Texas, on May 4, 2012. Mrs. Quick is preceded in death by her parents, Connie and Fannie Chrismon; husband, Delton C. Hodges; husband, William ""Bill"" E. Quick, Sr. She is survived by two sons, Larry Hodges of Galena Park, Texas, and Wayne Hodges of Rye, Texas; daughter, Shirley Brown of Rye, TX; brother, Kenneth McClure of Snyder, Texas; sister, Verdell McClure of Diboll, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas, beginning at 5:00 PM.
