Funeral services for Marzell Mayo, 82, of Point Blank, Texas will be held Sunday December 14, 2008 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, with Bro. Jack Bailey officiating and interment to follow in the Center Hill Cemetery in Point Blank. Pallbearers will be Larry Clements, Wesley Fox, Bill Durfee, Fenis Smith, Bob Cella and Nick Smith.

Mrs. Mayo was born July 25, 1926 in Northlet, Arkansas the daughter of Jams Clayton Lafitte and Annie Bell Stepp Lafitte, and passed away December 22, 2008 in Huntsville, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bob Lafitte and Don Lafitte.

She is survived by her husband John W. Mayo, of Point Blank, David Clayton & Nannette Mayo, son & daughter in law of Point Blank, Sherry Lynn Mayo, daughter of Spring, Texas, Kristen Cella & Fenis Smith, granddaughter and husband, Alek Smith, grandson, Martha McDaniel, sister of Point Blank, Lillwyn Clements, sister of Austin, Texas, Gladys Lafitte, sister, of Point Blank, Dayne Lafitte, sister in law, of Bend, Oregon, Jo Ellen Lafitte, sister in law of Trinity, Texas Jackie & Jerry Gilliam, special friend of Point Blank, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
