Funeral services for Matias G. Martinez, 89, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Bold Springs Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Martinez was born February 24, 1929 in Mexico, to parents, Antonio Martinez and Fabiona (Gonzales) Martinez, and passed away March 23, 2018 in Kingwood, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Maria Azuncion Zuñiga Martinez.

He is survived by his son, Art Martinez of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Josefine and Efrain Peña of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Carmen and Fidel DeLacruz of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, Raul and Consuelo Martinez of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Oralia and Phil Lawson of Livingston; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
