Funeral services were held for Matilda Johnson Garcia, age 47 of Livingston, TX at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Indian Village Assembly of God Church. Interment followed at Alabama Coushatta Reservation Cemetery. Rev. David Busby and Roy Vianes conducted the services. Pallbearers were Christopher Garcia, Mario Garcia, Jr., Dario Garcia, Mario Garcia, Martin Garza, Roy Vianes, David Orosco and Michael Bunting. Music was provided by the Indian Village Assembly of God Choir and the Indian Presbyterian Church Choir.

Matilda was born on January 28, 1965, in Livingston, TX to parents, Martin Garcia and Wanda Faye Poncho. She passed away on February 10, 2012, in Livingston. Matilda was a member of the Indian Village Assembly of God Church.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Faye Poncho and grandfather, Jimmy J. Johnson. Matilda is survived by her father, Martin Garcia; daughter, Rosamelia Bunting of Livingston; son, Christopher Garcia of Livingston; son, Mario Garcia, Jr. of Lufkin; seven grandchildren; brother, Mario Garcia of Livingston; sister, Amelia Mason of China; sister, Mylen Hornsby of Livingston; brother, Dario Garcia of Livingston; sister, Minerva Poncho of Livingston; and aunt, Emma Olachia.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at the home of Matilda Garcia.
