Obituary
Mrs. Laird was born on April 1, 1938 in Mathis, Texas to parents, August Stech and Martha (Bues) Stech and passed away on June 11, 2016 in Lufkin, Texas. She was a loving wife of 60 years and 1 month, a homemaker, a member of the Church of Christ and to family and friends was called by the nickname, "Butch". She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dora, Emma, Lillie, Hilda, Gertrude "Tootie"; brothers, Adolph, Herbert, Ed, Bill, Augie, Bob and Marvin; grandson, Landon Clay Laird; granddaughter, Kendal Lynn Laird Martin.
She is survived by her husband, William, "Bill" Rankin Laird of Livingston, Texas; sons, Robert Laird and Lara, Darrell Laird and Sheila, Alvin Laird and Andrea, Mike Laird, Jack Laird and Pam all of Livingston, Texas; daughters, Sally Smith, and April Bower and Harold, all from Livingston, Texas; sister, Verna Mae Bickham of Calallen, Texas; grandchildren, Robert Laird Jr. and Molly, Nicki Blankenship and Michael, Stacey Owens and Bradley, Steven Laird and Kali-Jo, Justin Bickford and Brittany, Jennifer Wallace and Jason, Chassity Armstrong and Jacob, Brittany Lowery and Josh, Amber Johnson and Timothy, Andrew Laird and Jordan, Ashley Jehnzen and Dustin, Stephen Smith and Shelbey, Craig Wiggins Jr. and Misty, Paul Wiggins and Melissa, A.J. Laird, Olivia Laird, Jacob Bickford, Clay "Rooster" Laird, Heather Smith, Jake Bower, Luke Bower, Haley Bower, Tabi Green, and Mikie Green; 31 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
