Obituary
Funeral services for Matthew David Thagard, 36, of Houston, Texas, will be held Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Calobe Isaacs officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Cemetery in the Hortense Community, Texas. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service.
Matthew David Thagard born on July 3, 1980, passed from this life on September 23, 2016 at the age of 36. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Warren Herman Thagard and Verna (Biclamowicz) Thagard; maternal grandfather, Manton Eddie Marsh Jr.; father, Bill David Thagard; and brother, Daniel Joseph Thagard.
He is survived by his son, Brock David Thagard; maternal grandmother, Alma Oleather Hickman Marsh; mother, Virginia Ann Marsh Thagard; sister, Veronica Rose Thagard Bush and husband, Larry; brother, Jason Noll Thagard and wife, Robin; brother, Clinton Warren Thagard and wife, Christen; nieces, Kayla Diane Willis, Kira Danielle Willis, and Kyndal Jae Thagard; nephews, Cody Nash Thagard, Jaden Clint Thagard, Jaxon Daniel Thagard, Bentley Cade Thagard, Jacob Manton Willis, and Joshua Michael Willis; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Matthew was born and raised in the Northwest Houston/Cypress-Fairbanks area of Harris County. He went to school in the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District graduating from CyFair High School in 2000.
