Maude Elizabeth ""Billie"" Fowler Melton 83, was born February 22, 1926 and passed away Wednesday May 13, 2009.

Although officially born Maude Elizabeth Fowler in Center, Texas, Shelby County, she was affectionately known by all as ""Billie"".

She married Price Melton April 11, 1942, and they enjoyed 5 years of marriage until is death in 1993. She will now join Price in eternity at Camp Ruby Cemetery.

Billie loved life, her husband, her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. And she was a true friend to all of those lucky enough to have known her.

Maude is survived by her two sisters Lillie Marie Farrington of Richardson, and Evelyn Lorraine Carter of Galena Park, two daughters Elizabeth Ann Shelly of Coldsprings, and Patsy Elaine Keene and husband Jimmy of Buna, and one son John Richard Melton of Houston. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Phillip Keene, Craig Dolson, Mark Mathena, Drew Dolson, Travis Mathena, and Bill Dolson.

Services will be held at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston on Monday May 18, 2009 at 10:30AM,with Bro. Frank Hood officiating. Followed by interment at Camp Ruby Cemetery. The family and friends are invited to a gathering at Soda Baptist Church for a remembrance. Visitation will be Sunday May 17, 2009 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM also in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.
