Funeral services for Max Ray Smith, 95, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, February 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Robert Green officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service begins at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Due to weather, interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Smith was born September 15, 1925 in Fort Worth, Texas to parents, Robert Smith and Ruth (Green) Smith, and passed away February 10, 2021, in Livingston, Texas. During his life, Mr. Smith proudly served in, and retired from, the United States Air Force. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marsha Smith; brothers, LeRoy Smith and Claywell Smith; and sister, Billie Marie Meeks.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Crawford of Texas; son, Bobby D. Smith and wife, Lourdes of Texas; grandson, Alan Crawford of Texas; granddaughters, Denise Crawford of Texas, Vanessa Smith of Texas, Shannon Smith of Washington state, and Sarah Smith of Texas; sister, Lilan Green and husband, Bill of Texas; and brother, Ronald Smith of Arizona; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
