Funeral services for Melinda Johnson Hornsby, 59, of Livingston, Texas will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 10:00 am. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Joe John officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., with a wake beginning at 6:00 p.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Melinda was born June 14, 1962 in Galveston, Texas to parents, Martin Perez Garcia and Wanda Faye (Johnson) Garcia, and passed away April 12, 2022 in Kingwood, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandsons, Brandon Ruiz and Dominic Arellano; and sisters, Matilda Garcia and Delia Garcia.

She is survived by her husband David Orosco; daughter and son-in-law, Sande and Shea House; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Noe Arellano; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Brandi Hornsby; sister and brother-in-law, Amelia and Tom Mason; brothers, Mario Garcia and Dario Garcia; sister, Minerva Poncho; 8 grandchildren; and 1 1/2 great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
