Melisa "Missy" Ann Demoss passed from this life on October 9, 2022 in Onalaska, Texas. She was born in De Soto, Missouri on May 7, 1966 to parents, Frances E. Smith and James R. Miller.

She left behind her loving husband of 23 years and best friend of 24 years, Harold DeMoss; children, James M. McKinney and wife Adria, and Jeffery C. Woodyard; brother, David Miller and wife Britney; sister, Christine M. Hillhouse and husband Jason; brothers, Kenneth Miller and wife Debbie, and Steve Miller and wife Lauren; stepmother, Norman Miller; 2 grandchildren, Abriyah Grace Hambric and Grayson Woodyard; 7 step-grandchildren; 11 nieces and nephews; 11 great nieces and nephews. 3 aunts; 3 uncles; along with many cousins and a host of friends.

Melisa is preceded in death by her mother and her daughter, Clista Dawn McKinney.

She was a beautiful and goodhearted person, she loved her family and friends dearly. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone that needed it. She had a smile that would light up the sky, making it even brighter. Melisa fought a tough battle to both pancreatic and stomach cancers. Melisa is free of cancer and is now flying high with the most beautiful wings that God Himself picked out for her. She is and was loved by her family and friends so deeply that words could never express.
