Melissa Diane Gibbs 43 of Shepherd passed away Friday January 16, 2009 in Kingwood. Funeral services will be 10:00AM Thursday January 22, 2009 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in the Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington.

Melissa was born November 27, 1965 in San Antonio to parents Willis James Taylor Sr. and Patricia Yvonne Morgan Taylor. She worked for 20 years as a Certified Nurses Aid, the last 10 for Woodland Park Nursing Home in Shepherd.

She is survived by her husband David Gibbs of Shepherd, son Joshua Martin, and daughters Amanda Poul, Misty Martin, and Jessica Gibbs, parents Willis and Patricia Tyler, sister Pamela Piles and brother James Tyler Jr. and wife Sarah. A host of extended family and friends also survive her.

Serving as pallbearers will be James Tyler Jr., Brandon Williams, Chantha Poul, Warren Jay Tyler, Randall Bailey, and Chantawn Poul. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Gibbs and Matthew Gibbs.
