Obituary
Funeral services for Melvin "Paw Paw" Nesmith Sr., 68, of Leggett, Texas, will be held Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Elton Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Nesmith was born in Houston, Texas to parents, Homer W. Nesmith Sr. and Mary (Jaso) Nesmith, and passed away on March 14, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rhonda Nesmith; and brothers, Morris, Rudy and Johnny.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Nesmith of Leggett, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Marsha Nesmith of Leggett, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, JoJuanna and Arthur Davis of Leggett, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Melvin Nesmith Jr. and Kim of Leggett, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Homer and Sharon Nesmith of Leggett, Texas; sister, Norma James of Porter, Texas; grandchildren, Eric Cummings, Megan Swander, Coby Nesmith, Dean and Penni Nesmith, Cory Nesmith, Destiny and Robert Shirley, Kelsie Nesmith, Jordan Nesmith, Trey Nesmith, Amanda Costlow, Elijah Davis, Jeremiah Davis, Ashley and Clint Dillard, Amber Reeves, Jennifer Garcia and Luis, Brad Shirley, and Trint Shirley; great-grandchildren, Hayden Nesmith, Coty and Hunter Nesmith, Michael and Ashleigh Shirley, Jarrett Parrish, Makalah Nesmith, Veronica and Bella Garcia, Brayden Cummings, J.J. Kelly, Kyndel Smith, Gabriel and Eli Nesmith; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
