Services for Melvin Richardson, 99, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be Held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to service. Interment will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at the San Jacinto Memorial Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

Melvin was born August 29, 1923 in Henderson, Texas and passed away August 25, 2023 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Willie Richardson and Robbie Crenshaw (Green) Richardson; and daughter, Dianne Richardson.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Kathryn Richardson of Livingston, Texas; sons, Rodger Melvin Richardson and wife Vivian of Dayton, Texas and Roger Darrell Richardson and wife Margaret of Alvin, Texas; daughter, Donna Kathryn Richardson of Georgetown, Texas; son Billy Dan Richardson and wife Jean of Missouri City, Texas; daughter, Jo Darlene Michalec and husband Randy of Montgomery, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 5great-great grandchildren; brother, Quinton Eugene Richardson of New Salem, Texas; and sister, Lucille Reed of Chandler, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
