Obituary
A memorial service for Melvin G. Slough Jr, 66, of Point Blank, Texas will be held at 3:00 P.M., Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Don Wilkey officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post#8568. Honors will also be provided by Texas Department of Criminal Justice Honor Guard.
Mr. Slough was born on June 5, 1948 in Stanton, Texas to parents, Melvin G. Slough Sr. and Freda Mae (Yarbrough) Slough, and passed away on February 7, 2015 in Point Blank, Texas. During his life, he loved fishing and boating.
He is survived by wife, Peggy Taylor of Point Blank, Texas; son, Rodney Slough of Huntsville, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Renee Watson and husband of Corinth, Mississippi; step-daughter, Vanessa Ungvarsky and family of Easton, Pennsylvania; step-daughter, Amanda Sanchez and husband of Houston, Texas; step-daughter, Madeline Rendon of Houston, Texas; granddaughters, Kristin Holcomb and Lauren Brock; grandson, Bradley Scott Slough; 2 great-grandsons; brother, Eric Slough of Houston, Texas; along with other numerous relatives and friends.
