Michael "Andy" Andrew Little, 48, of Houston, Texas was born August 10, 1969 in Harris County, Texas to parents, Doyle Monroe Little and Bernita Joan (Youngblood) Little, and passed away July 27, 2018 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his birth mother, Bernita Joan Youngblood; and grandparents, Robert and Mable Clair Little, Chapin and Colleen Jakes, and Charlie and Janette Allsbrooks; uncles Wayne and Dudley Little, aunts Hazel Serice, Pat and Jamie Guidry all of Louisiana.

He is survived by his son, William Jacob Little of Houston; former wife, Jennifer Wilde, of Houston, father and mom, Doyle and Viola Little of Livingston; brother, Charles Wade Little of Livingston; sister, Amy Elizabeth Little and niece Isabella Sarmiento of Diboll; sister, Evangelina "Evie" Colleen Meza, nephews, Andy, Ashton, and Aaron Cabrera of Baytown; aunt Jeanette Savoie of Louisiana; aunt Laura Little of Sulphur, Louisiana; aunts Mary Ann Moser of Baytown, and Janet Trojanowski, of Conroe; along with numerous other cousins, relatives and friends.

His Father always said he was the perfect student. After graduating High School, Andy continued his education with the University of Houston obtaining his Masters Degree in English and Political Science. He left the university to attend Fordham University in New York City where he finished his studies in political philosophy. Andy returned to the University of Houston as a professor and advisor in the Honors College and has been teaching students since 1997. He also led students in the study abroad program traveling to locations such as Greece, Turkey and Israel.
One could not forget his conversations about the latest dinner recipe he prepared, or some deeply abstract thoughts about the latest piece of literature he immersed himself into. Other than reading and cooking he also loved to sing. He was known in his younger days to frequent the local karaoke joints belting out his rendition of his personal go- to favorites such as Bob Dylan or Counting Crows. Andy touched, influenced, advised, counseled, and entertained many, many students throughout his life, and he will be missed tremendously.

Flowers, and cards may be sent to his mom, Viola Little at 571 Hawkins Rd., Livingston, Texas 77351. A memorial service will be conducted at 11AM August 11th at Beginnings in Grace Church, 194 Camp Ruby Rd., Livingston, Texas 77351.
