Funeral services for Michael Edward Burks, 62, of Livingston, Texas will be held Monday, October 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow at Magnolia Hill Cemetery in Segno, Texas. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Michael was born March 13, 1962 in Houston, Texas and passed away October 16, 2024 in Livingston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Emma Burks; stepfather, Jimmy Davis; brothers, Jimmy Davis, Robert Burks, Randy Burks, and Rodney Brown; sisters, Paula Strickland, Debbie Elliot, and Robin Folton; and nephew, Lee Burks.

He is survived by his sister, Terry Smith of Magnolia, Texas; brother, Jay Burks and wife Brenda of Livingston, Texas; sister-in-law, Betty Black and husband, Kevin; and uncles, Johnny Burks and wife Bobbie of Livingston, Texas and Monroe Burks and wife JoAnne of Magnolia, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Matthew Veith, Brian Burks, Jay Burks, Jr., Allen Eaton, Brandon Burks, and Jay Burks.
