Michael Anthony Carter was born August 21, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas to his parents, James and Helen Ruth Palmer Carter. He married his best friend, Tina on June 20, 1998 in Livingston. Michael loved wood working and spending his free time to do volunteer work for the SAAFE House. He passed away on May 16, 2013 surrounded by his family in Livingston.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Ruth Carter; brother, John Carter; step-mother, Rose. His survivors include his wife, Tina Carter, of Livingston; children, two daughters, Lara and Ashley Michelle Carter and son, Dylan Carter, all of Livingston; siblings, James, Monica, Laurie Dale, Becky and Tina; eight grandchildren; one grand dog. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial services will be held Monday, May 20, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Lindell Mitchell officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to the SAAFE House in his honor.
