Funeral services for Michael Gates, 70, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Frank Autry officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mike was born October 22, 1951 in Ft. Worth, Texas to parents, Lloyd Edward Gates and Elma Rhea (Hartless) Gates, and passed away April 30, 2022 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Jerry and Harwood Gates; and sister, Mary Alice Gates.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Gates of Livingston; daughter, Tonya Wright and granddaughter, Destiny Gentry both of Livingston; brother, Williams Gates and wife, Linda of Lufkin; brothers, Ricky, Marty, and Troy Gates all of Livingston; sister, Donna Rabel and husband, Darrell of Cut-N-Shoot; brother, Ricky Lynn Putman of Conroe; and brother, Woody Gates and wife, Kimberly of Conroe; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
