IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Caroll
Holden
September 29, 1971 – December 30, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Michael "Big Mike" Holden, who left us far too soon on December 30, 2024, at the age of 53. Mike was known for his larger-than-life personality, infectious laugh, and a love for life that inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A true force of nature, Mike had a way of making the people around him feel empowered and confident. Whether it was his booming voice or deep laugh filling the room, he lived with an energy and zest that was contagious. His belief was simple: life is meant to be lived fully and without hesitation. He was a man who embraced every moment, always finding new ways to make people smile, to share a laugh, or to lend a helping hand.
No matter what he was doing, Mike was all in. A more loyal friend could not be found, and with that friendship came a reminder that there was always another day to live, and it should be lived with passion. It is this inspiration for passion that we must carry forward in our hearts to keep Mike's legacy alive.
Mike is survived by his parents: James and Judy Holden; Children: Chloee and Spencer; The Love of His Life Gina; Siblings: Cherish and husband Stephen , Daniel and wife Gretchen; Darrel and wife Fariza; Nieces and Nephews: Lindsey, Courtney, Alikhan, Jacob, Cherish, Danyen, Sagdi, Danyka and Hope; Great Nephews: Bodhi and Kingston; many aunts and uncles that loved him dearly along with countless fiends who were as close as blood.
A celebration of Big Mike's life will be held at Cochran Funeral Home located at 212 Old Groveton Rd. S., Onalaska, Texas 77360 at 2:00pm in Thursday, January 9, 2025. In true Mike fashion, this gathering will be filled with laughter, love, and the kind of stories that will keep his spirit alive in our hearts forever.
Big Mike may be gone, but his legacy of living life to the fullest will live on in all of us. Rest in peace, Mike—you will always be larger than life to us.
