Graveside services for Michael John Karns, 78, of Nacogdoches, Texas, will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Randy Arnold officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Karns was born June 14, 1947, in Fort Madison, Iowa and passed away February 6, 2026, in Nacogdoches, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Vance Karns and Lucille Doris (Wilson) Karns; and wife, Margaret Joan (Ellis) Karns.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Karns of Austin, Texas; son, John Karns and Yvette of Katy, Texas; son, Marty Karns and Teressa of Douglass, Texas; grandchildren, Timothy Johnson and Hannah, Micaela Eze and Chimee, Robert Johnson and Ifra, Khris Torres and Elisabeth, Kimberly Karns and Colton, Katelynn Busby and Nick, Garrett Karns and Jadyn, and Kolton Karns; and 5 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
