Michael Joseph Robrecht, 69, passed away on July 8, 2026 in Livingston, TX.
Mike was born on December 30, 1956 at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida to Brent and Margaret Robrecht of St. George Island. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Robrecht of Livingston, Texas; stepsons, Dusty West of Groveton, Texas and Eric Freeman of Lufkin, Texas; grandchildren, Lillie West, Gabriel Freeman, Shawn Freeman, Isaac Freeman, and Alexis Phillips; and his siblings, Andrea, Bruce, Keith, Mary and Theresa; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Mike attended elementary schools in California and New Jersey before the family settled in St. Mary's County. He then attended Little Flower and Ryken and graduated from Great Mills High School in 1975. Mike graduated from The Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship in 1980. He became a tugboat captain for Kirby Corporation and worked in the Gulf states until his retirement in 2024.
Mike and Tammy enjoyed the simple life on their 13 acres in Livingston where they were known to hold crawfish boils and cookouts for the neighbors. He loved their dogs, four-wheelers, Side by Sides, big Dodge trucks, muscle cars and classic rock. Mike was warm, kind and generous to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
