Miriam Edith Parkman, age 91, of Livingston, Texas passed away in Winnsboro, Texas on December 28, 2015. Edith was born in Trinity, Texas on October 4, 1924 to the late Vernon O. and Alt Cummings. She was a graduate of Livingston High School and a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.D. Parkman; infant daughter, Rhonda Jo Parkman; sister, Genevieve Cummings Kennerly; and niece, Linda Kennerly DeLauro.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Price and husband J.T. of Winnsboro, Texas; son, Jeffrey Parkman and wife Patricia of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Parkman, Stacey Hester, and Craig Clack of Livingston, Texas; numerous great nieces and great nephews, along with many other family members and friends.

Services will be held at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held at Cochran Funeral Home on January 2, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
