A graveside service for Mitchell Leroy Jones, 68, of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Freeman Cemetery off of FM 1485 in Grangerland, Texas with Jack Perry officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 PM, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Jones was born on November 4, 1945 in Dunbar, Oklahoma and passed away on January 16, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. During his lifetime, he worked as a welder for various welding companies and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lemule J. and Ruby (Cowan) Jones; and sons, Wesley Jones and Stoney Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Zelek Jones of Livingston, Texas; son, Cameron Jones of Conroe, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Lemule and Cindy Jones of Conroe, Texas; step-sons, Robert Zelek and Blaine Zelek, both of Livingston, Texas; sisters, Fran Perry of Conroe, Texas and Linda Moore of Livingston, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Kenneth Johnson of Oklahoma; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
