Memorial services for M.K. "Buffalo" Allwright, 89, of Goodrich, Texas, will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Pastor John Moye officiating.
Mr. Allwright was born on September 7, 1928 in Houston, Texas to parents, Arthur George Allwright and Inez (Williams) Allwright and passed away May 21, 2018 in Goodrich, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Sharon Richardson.
During his life, Buffalo grew up in Humble, Texas. He graduated from Aldine High School and University of Houston, BBA. After college, Buffalo owned and operated a small business in Humble. In his spare time, he was a volunteer with the American Red Cross in Water Safety, an Outings Leader for the Sierra Club, and was a past president of the Humble Lions Club. Upon his retirement to Goodrich in 1994, he became active in the Polk and Tyler County Forest Land Owners Association and Hunter Education and enjoyed the singing at Hickory Grove Church in Goodrich, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Doris Allwright of Goodrich, Texas; daughters, Sandra Carter of The Woodlands, Texas, Linda Rigsby of Many, Louisiana, and Susan Williams of Houston, Texas; son, William "Bill" Allwright of San Diego, California; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
