Memorial service for Molly Ruppart Gray, 65, of Goodrich, Texas, will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lake Tomahawk Christian Retreat Center in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Brett Lester of First Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

A much-loved wife, mother, and "Granny", Molly Ruppart Gray, 65, of Goodrich, Texas, passed away on November 11, 2018 in Lufkin, Texas surrounded by her family.

Molly was born in Houston, Texas to Earl and Wilma Ruppart on December 5, 1952. She attended Jones High School in Houston, Texas. She married her high school sweetheart, Bruce Gray, on January 9, 1971 in Houston, Texas. Together they have two children, Jennifer and Dustin. Shortly after moving to Livingston in 1983, she began working as a payroll clerk for Sam Houston Electric Cooperative. While continuing to work full time, Molly completed a Bachelors of Accounting from Sam Houston State University. After working at Sam Houston Electric Cooperative for 30 years, she retired as the Director of Accounting in early 2017. The highlight of her retirement celebration was being taken up in a bucket truck by the lineman. Her SHECO family continued to hold a special place in her heart.

While her three grandchildren were the light of her life, Molly enjoyed traveling, fishing, especially deep-sea fishing, and trying new recipes from The Food Network. Vacationing with her family in her travel trailer brought her joy and her most favorite adventure was a two-week trip to Yellowstone National Park and Mount Rushmore.

Molly is survived by her husband, Bruce Gray; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jay Dunson; her grandchildren, Carter, Riley, and Drew Dunson; her brother, Randall Ruppart; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Ruppart; her nephew, Jonathan Ruppart , her niece Tamara Ruppart and her husband, Kevin Zvargulis, and her grand-nephew Magnus; her brother-in-law, Jimmy Gray and his partner Laur VanValkenburg.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Wilma Ruppart; her son, Dustin Gray; her sister, Dianne Ruppart Brock and her husband Ray Brock; and her in-laws Archie and Dortha Gray.
