Funeral services for Mozelle Aragon Hastings, 91, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Mrs. Hastings was born June 4, 1926 in Shiro, Texas to parents, Pete Flores and Romana (Valdez) Flores, and passed away September 22, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; 1 st husband, Joe Aragon, Sr.; 2 grandsons, Willie and Daniel; sister, Lucy Flores Villarreal; and brothers, Simon Flores, Tony Flores, Lilo Flores, Ollie Flores, Charlie Flores, Pete Flores, Jr., and George Flores.
She is survived by her husband, Eskill "Jimmy" Hastings of Onalaska, Texas; son, Joe Aragon Jr. and wife, Patsy of Houston, Texas; daughter, Mary Lou Mericle and husband, Preston of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Adell Dull and husband, Sidney of Rosharon, Texas; son, Frank Aragon and wife, Melody of Saratoga, Texas; son, Robert Aragon and wife, Beth of Onalaska, Texas; son, Charlie Aragon and Tami of Goodrich, Texas; daughter, Janie Kemp and husband, Harry of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Brenda Holden and husband, Michael of Livingston, Texas; sister, Naomie Dowdell and husband, Charles of Splendora, Texas; brother, Ellic Flores of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Michael, Edward, Preston Jr., Jacob, Timothy, Frank, Carlos, Daniel, Matthew, Suvella, Logan, Billy, Summer, Nicholas, Warren, Katie, Kristie Jo, Tyler, Greg, Candace, and Kimberly; and numerous great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
A special thanks from the family to the Timberwood Nursing Home and staff, Harbor Hospice and staff, and Dr. Elias Kanaan.
