Funeral services for Muriel Louise Nelson, 88, of Goodrich, Texas, will be held Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Nelson was born October 23, 1928 in Crosby, Texas to parents, Thomas Albert Walker and Grace Gertrude (Money) Walker, and passed away January 11, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Steve Lee Nelson; brothers, Grady Walker, Malcom Walker, and Doyle Walker; and sisters, Jean Deeter and Dorothy Mitchmore.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Lee "Pete" Nelson of Goodrich, Texas; sons, Mark Nelson and wife, JoAnn of Goodrich, Texas and Scott Nelson and wife, DaWanda of Goodrich, Texas; daughter, Debbie Nelson McGee of League, City, Texas; grandchildren, Kristell Nelson, Josh and Katey Nelson, Sarah and JD Dodd, Melissa and Kyle Reiss, Magen and TJ Rutland, Mark and Lori Lovell, Rachel and Josh Moreno, David and Carly Levingston, and Mike Levingston; 20 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
