Funeral services for Myrtle Lena Jordan, 99, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, January 19, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Schwab City Baptist Church in Schwab City, Texas with Rev. David Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Grove Cemetery in Segno, Texas. Visitation will be held at 1:30 PM, prior to service time on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Schwab City Baptist Church.

Myrtle was born on September 15, 1914 in Polk County, Texas and passed away on January 16, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. She worked as a beautician during her lifetime. On November 27, 1945, she married Gordan Lee Jordan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Miles Manuel and Lizzie Arkansas (Taylor) Gay; husband, Gordan Lee Jordan, who passed away on April 17, 1997; sisters, Bessie Mae Wheeler, Leonia Estelle Singletary, Emma Lelia Gay, and Cloria Alma Richardson; brothers, Cecil Chandler Gay and Clarence Elmer Gay.

She is survived by niece, Virginia Duhon of Livingston, Texas; nephew and wife, Charles and Sherry Wheeler or Livingston, Texas; nephew and wife, Ercel and Wanda Wheeler of Longview, Texas; niece and husband, Sharon and David Clark of Baytown, Texas; niece, Nellene Cheairs of Lumberton, Texas; niece, Margot Wheeler of Livingston, Texas; sister-in-law, Elinor Gay of Massachusetts; nephew and wife, Paul and Pinky Gay of Massachusetts; niece and husband, Liz Gay and John Pelletier; nephew, Kenneth Richardson of Starks, Louisiana; nephew and wife, Larry Warnock and Jennifer; along with a host of great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Myrtle will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers, Charles Wheeler, Jr., Justin Wheeler, Tyler Carney, Tom Witte, David Clark, Randy Randolph, and Olan Cain.
