Funeral services for Myrtle Lee Whalen, 90, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Menard Chapel Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 1:15 – 2:00 p.m., before the service begins, in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Whalen was born September 9, 1927 in Mount Ida, Arkansas to parents, Edgar Franklin Laster and Bertha Lee (Ashley) Laster, and passed away June 6, 2018 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Whalen; and daughter-in-law, Linda Allen.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Ray Allen of Livingston, Texas; granddaughter and husband, Sally and Barry Brasher of Livingston, Texas; granddaughter and husband, Cama and Sidney Cox of Livingston, Texas; 11 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Laster-White of Burnet, Texas, Joyce Moseley of Austin, Texas, Edna Roberts of Clovis, New Mexico, Joy Breckenridge of Deer Park, Texas, Erma Barnett of Crosby, Texas and Nora Sikes of Kountze, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Charles White, Joby Henson, Matt Henson, Brannon Henson, Jimmy Brasher, Bubba Brasher, Ky Cox.
