Obituary

Funeral services for Noah L. E. ""Red"" Quinn, Jr., age 68, of Livingston will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Pallbearers are Walt Smith, Cornelius Mangum, Don Dixon, Billy Meadows, Charles Quinn, and Chris Quinn. Honorary Pallbearers are O?ÇÖDell Jackson, Jim Trent.

He was born September 3, 1942 in Electra, Texas the son of Noah L. E. Quinn, Sr. and Dorothy Garnet Ford Quinn and passed away on August 21, 2011 in Lufkin, Texas. He is preceded in death by parents, Noah L. E. Quinn, Sr. and Dorothy Garnet Ford Quinn, and sister, Ronae Lee Woody.

Noah is survived by Angela Quinn, daughter of Livingston, Texas, Christopher and Ashley Quinn, son and daughter-in-law of Cypress, Texas, Charles and Donna Quinn, son and daughter-in-law of Bryant, Arkansas, Farrell Stark, sister of San Antonio, Texas, Cary Quinn, brother of San Antonio, Texas, Megan Bartholmey, granddaughter of Livingston, Texas, Kendall Quinn, granddaughter of Cypress, Texas, Hudson Quinn, grandson, of Cypress, Texas, Florence Onay, granddaughter, of Bryant, Arkansas, Vicki Wolfe, niece, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Donna Blackwell, niece, of Gilmer, Texas, Sandy Merritt, niece, of Gilmer, Texas, Tanya Jacks, niece, of Arlington, Texas, Michelle Casas, niece, of Livingston, Texas, Kimberly Placker, niece, of Livingston, Texas. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

He was a graduate of Harold High School in Harold, Texas and later joined the United States Air Force. He later worked for the United States Postal Service and was employed with them for twenty years until retirement. Following retirement he went to work for Livingston ISD as a bus driver for another 10 years until retiring recently. He was a member of the Optimist Club, where he served as a past president.
