Norman David Rice Jr. age 74 of Shepherd passed away Tuesday February 23, 2010 in Cleveland. Memorial services will be held Saturday February 27, 2010 at 12:00Noon in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston with Rev. Danny Moye officiating.

Norman was born October 12, 1935 in Honey Island to parents Norman David Rice Sr. and Verda Mae Lyles Rice. He was a devoted member of the Shepherd Masonic Lodge #866 A.F & A.M as well as the Houston Scottish Rite Body & Arabia Shrine.

He is survived by his wife Lora M.Overstreet Rice of Shepherd whom he married on March 14, 1955 in Livingston, sons Norman Larue Rice and Robert Lee Rice both of Shepherd, daughter Shannon Tolar of Shepherd, sister Juanita Johnson of Honey Island. He is also survived by his grandchildren Cody Rice, David Tolar, Todd Tolar, James Rice, Cory Rice, David Rice, Rebeka Rice and his 3 great grandchildren.
