Funeral services for Odessa Peppenhorst, 91, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Royce Pennington officiating and Rev. Fred Alford assisting. Interment will follow the services at 3:00 p.m. in the Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2014 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Peppenhorst was born November 5, 1922 in Converse, Louisiana to parents, Charles and Mandy Burk, and passed away October 18, 2014 at her home in Livingston, Texas. She was a member of V.F.W. #402 Ladies Auxillary and she enjoyed being outdoors so that she was able to mow and weed eat. She loved to mow and weed eat so much that she would take care of doing their neighborhood subdivision. She also had a love for music and would often play the harmonica. She is preceded in death by her parents; children, Steve Adkison, Jerry Adkison and Glenn Adkison; grandson, Justin Adkison; two brothers, Aubrey Burk and Leo Burk.
She is survived by her husband, Henry M. Peppenhorst of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Felton Adkison and Rose Adkison of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Kathy Hight of Onalaska, Texas; grandchildren, Shauna Hokams and husband, Steve, Monica Adkison, Chris Adkison and wife, Dana, Billy Adkison; great grandson, Wesley Hokams; numerous other great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
