Funeral services for Oscar Lamar Reed, age 71 of Livingston will be held Tuesday August 10, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston with Rev. Craig McCracken officiating and interment to follow in the Eden Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas. Pallbearers will be John Cain, Bentley Walters, Hoyt Pitts, John Watkins, Tommy Watkins and Grady Cain. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Hermes and Cecil Chance.

He was born April 16, 1939 in Lilbert, Texas the son of Oscar Charlie Reed and Emma Irene Rogers Reed and passed away August 6, 2010 in Lufkin, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Helen Gunderson and daughter, Ann Marie Reed.

Lamar was a graduated of Port Neches-Groves High School in Port Neches, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Reed of Livingston, Peyton Reed, son of Newton, Texas, David & Jennifer Reed, son & daughter in law of Livingston, Rebecca Reed, daughter of Livingston, Donald Reed, son of New Jersey, Mary Elizabeth Reed, daughter of New Jersey, Carrie Reed, daughter in law of Livingston, Rylea Reed, granddaughter of Livingston and Tyler Reed, grandson of Livingston and Rayford Hershel Reed Brother.
