Funeral services for Oweena Saxon, 92, of Corrigan, Texas, will be held Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Union Springs Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas with Brother Lesly Wilkinson officiating. Visitation will also be held October 23, 2022, from 2:30-3:00 p.m., at Union Springs Baptist Church, before the service.

Oweena was born April 18, 1930 in Corrigan, Texas, to parents, Elmer Lee Emmons and Lola Mae (Maxey) Emmons, and passed away October 20, 2022 in Weatherford, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, John H. Saxon; son, Stephen Grant Saxon; and brother, John Melvin Emmons

Mrs. Saxon is survived by her son, John M. Saxon and wife Gayle of Corrigan, Texas; daughter, Michelle Tompkins and husband Doug of Weatherford, Texas; grandchildren, Jamie Quinn and husband Daniel of Nacogdoches, Texas, Jennifer Saxon of Frisco, Texas, Julie Saxon of Lufkin, Texas, Lindsay Tompkins and Dylan Tompkins, both of Weatherford, Texas; great grandchildren, Cameryn Quinn, Kimber Quinn, Madison Mahr, Brayden Mahr, Jaxon Oswalt, Stevie Tomkins, and Sterling Tompkins; sister-in-law, Bonnie Fuller and husband Charlie; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Doug Tompkins, Dylan Tompkins, Charlie Fuller, Harlon Parrish, Seth Handley and Daniel Quinn.
